  • Why should I have my gutters cleaned?

  • Gutters should be cleaned in order to avoid gunk and debris from blocking your downspouts or causing overflow from the sides. Gutters often get clogged with leaves, sticks, and other debris that falls from trees and tall bushes. Clogged gutters can cause water damage to your foundation and siding that can run in the thousands to repair.

  • Do I need to be home for the service?

  • You do not need to be home in order for High Five Gutters to complete our job. Our technicians will do a full walk of the exterior of your home from the ground level, as well as up on your roof, searching for blockages or other gutter issues. We will complete the cleaning job and prepare a report detailing the cleaning as well as any issues found. We can either leave the report in your mailbox or present it to you in person. Read more here.

  • How do we arrange payment?

  • We accept Visa and Mastercard via online invoice. About 12-24 hours after your gutter cleaning service is complete, you will receive an invoice via email. You can pay the invoice with a Visa or Mastercard. Both credit and debit cards are accepted. We do not accept cash, checks, or PayPal.

  • What does a gutter cleaning include?

  • A professional gutter cleaning from High Five Gutters includes a full cleaning of the inside of your gutter tracks. We also remove any clogs that may have formed in your gutters or downspouts. Our cleanings include a spray and wipe down of the exterior of your gutters to remove any dirt or debris that may have attached to the exterior surface. We then clean up and haul away any gunk that may have fallen onto your lawn or roof surface. We will clean out your downspouts all the way to the ground. Afterwards, we run water through your entire gutter system to make sure it flows properly. Then, we check for leaks at all seams and corners. And lastly, we inspect for any potential gutter issues such as sagging or detachment from the roof fascia. Read more here.

  • How long does it take to clean gutters?

  • On average, a full gutter cleaning will take about 2 hours. This number will vary slightly depending on the size of your roof and length of your gutters. If you have gutter guards in place, you should add another 30 minutes to 1 hour for the additional time of removing and re-installing the gutter guard system.

  • Who is liable if somebody gets hurt?

  • At High Five Gutters, we pride ourselves on our quality of work and safety track record. We are licensed and bonded with the Department of Labor and Industries. We also utilize modern safety measures such as harnesses and 3-point contact on ladders.

  • Should I purchase gutter guards?

  • Our general answer is no, you should not purchase gutter guards. Gutter guards may prevent large twigs and leaves from entering your gutter system, however, if you live in a neighborhood with large, mature trees and bushes, gutter guards will not prevent shingle gravel, gunk, and small seeds from entering your gutter track interior or downspouts. You will still need to have maintenance performed every year or so in order to clean out the gunk and debris from inside your gutters. The cost of maintaining your gutters over a few years is less than the cost of having a gutter guard system installed. Read more here.

  • Will you clean up afterwards?

  • A common method to clean out gutter tracks is to use a blower to push out any gunk and debris trapped within. This sometimes causes materials to fly out into your yard. Upon completion of the cleaning job, our technician will do a full 360 of your home in order to clean up any leaves, gunk, or debris that may have fallen.
